The Collective Imagination Practice Community’s Seed Library is a humble curatorial community project with the aim of making practitioners visible to each other, and also to project commissioners and funders. We hope the activities, projects, and people presented on the platform can create an ecology of collaboration that becomes valuable to many community contributors.
While there isn’t a budget to directly compensate authors’ contributions, the basic blog directories preceding the library have been used to help direct relationships and distribute resources to contributors as they become available, e.g. in supporting community funding decisions and by project partners seeking practitioners to support commissioned projects, so we hope the Seed Library improves this too.
All Seed Library entries include a 'Connect with the Practitioners' heading. We encourage contributing practitioners to include any text here for viewers to follow up with them. E.g. any short text regarding attribution, links to their personal offer, needs, and contact information. If there’s any text you’d like to add to this about the kind of workshops you offer, projects you seek, people you want to work with, please let us know and we’ll include it.
In the future, we hope to include more dynamic practitioner directory features for the exchange and promotion of practices and practitioners that offer more value to contributors, including a messaging forum e.g. Hylo. For now we gladly accept any feedback or suggestions for improvement. Please stay tuned for future releases. Thank you for your support!
